Don’t you just love giving gifts in person?
We love getting to see (and thank!) all of our amazing supporters in person, but in the current situation we are in, it’s been tough.
With all that is happening, we wanted to remind everyone that one of the best ways we can connect with each other is through, you guessed it – snail mail!
Call us ol’ fashioned (we are in Wisconsin after all) but receiving cards, letters of support and donations via snail mail is one of our favorite things!
You see when you send us a gift via snail mail, you not only bring us joy, you also allow us to spread that joy on to others!
Once we receive and open your gift, we excitedly air high five each other over our webcams, before we rock-paper-scissors to see which one of us gets to venture down to our local financial institution to share the good news.
Once we’re there, we get to exchange a friendly good morning greeting with Barb at reception, wave hello to Jen, share a smile with Cindy, and make our way up to one of our favorite tellers, Fran, who we also air high five and excitedly share that we received this amazing gift from you! And if we’re lucky we may even get to share a have a great day with Jerry J as we make our way out and back to the office!
Talk about spreading joy! That’s what your gift to the Mentor Chippewa program does – it allows us to spread joy to our mentee students, mentors, and community supporters!
In person, or partner gifts as we like to call them, are deposited in to the general fund and are used to support the day-to-day operations of Mentor Chippewa including: mentor recruitment, screening and training; mentor & mentee match support; mentor & mentee events; and general operating needs.
If you would like to give an in person gift – checks can be made out to Mentor Chippewa and mailed to Mentor Chippewa, 750 Tropicana Blvd, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729
When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.
