Mentor Chippewa is seeking Sponsors for the 2020-2021 school year.

According to a 2017 statistic put out by MENTOR, the National Mentoring Partnership, it costs on average $1,250 to support just one mentoring match for an entire year; Mentor Chippewa supports 150+ matches annually — that’s an annual program cost of $187,500+ — our current budget for support is $89,260.

$1,250 per match breaks down as follows:

  • Child Safety: extensive background checks and reference checks for all potential mentor participants, along with the initial screening and interview process – approximately $300
  • Database: management of a mentor and mentee program which allows for documentation of personal qualifying information, initial and annual interviews, and ongoing support – approximately $190
  • Marketing & Recruitment: management of our website and social media pages, print materials, and in-person presentations and speaking engagements – approximately $170
  • Training & Program Management: dedicated staff who work to provide mentor training and education opportunities, match support, outreach, and a resource library of materials – approximately $590
